"Regeneration Recovery" -Romans 7:14-25

​Have you ever found yourself doing the very things you know you shouldn't do? In Romans 7 we discover that real freedom starts not with trying harder, but by honestly admitting our need for Christ's transforming power. Whether your struggle is addiction, anxiety, bitterness, people-pleasing, or something else, this biblical message offers hope for lasting change.

Discussion Questions:

1. Share a habit that you have but would like to get rid of. If possible, explain how the habit started and why. (Examples, biting my nails, eating for comfort, cynical due to angry/bitterness/fear/loss/betrayal)
2. In what way(s) did you (do you) resonate with Paul's experience in Romans 7:14-25? Why do you think we still struggle with sin even though we are new in Christ? 
3. Quote: "You cannot walk in the flesh and live in the Spirit at the same time!" (Galatians 5:16-26) How does this quote and these verses help us understand the spiritual battle we experience on a daily basis ... AND ... how can it affect how we actually live out our faith?
4. Describe a time when you experienced a deep conviction of sin (wretched person that I am) and then experienced the freedom of "Thanks be to God for the Lord Jesus"? Is deep conviction a regular occurrence or do you fear you have become overly familiar with sin in your life? Why does this matter? How does viewing sin as breaking a principle versus breaking a relationship tie in with this?
5. How do you think God wants you to respond to the message and the study?
